One day I came across a fantastic Flash animation, called Mitoza. I was so fascinated and couldn't stop playing around. Since it was time to make my portfolio, I immediately thought about adapting this idea to create an interactive playful website where not my projects play the main role, but you. You are the one who decides how you will experience this project. With a tree-kind structure, every branch decision you take contributes to approach the project which might interest you the most.
In detail, every page represents a leaf of the portfolio tree with its small animation and two options to continue the story. The icon shows a small preview of what will happen in the next animation of this portfolio - well, sometimes it's not that obvious. Moreover, as I said, the chosen branch will lead you to an interesting project. For example, on the home page the user can decide between a cow and an anchor. Now, you could tell that people who choose an anchor are probably more into travelling, other cultures or simply the sea. On the other hand, a cow might represent agriculture, grounding or a tendency to rational topics rather than spiritual ones. With every further decision, the interest check should be more and more specific so that the last leaf of the tree shows the project suited best for your interests.
Additionally, all icons and elements used in the animation are personally related to me. A warthog, for example, is my favourite animal (see also this website) or the piano is the instrument I love. In this way, you should not only learn about my working experience and projects, but also about my personality and passions.
But most important: have fun! This portfolio presentation and the idea behind are beyond any sophisticated research and should not be taken too seriously. The result of your decisions might suit you or not. Nevermind! Just try again and click yourself through the whole tree until you find out every surprise hidden in this interactive portfolio.
