CHIALA is a meeting place to allow for mutual exchange among people with and without experiences of migration located in Graz, Austria. Since I love African culture and the work of this association, I volunteered for designing and developing their website using Wordpress. The colorful pattern frame was designed by my friend Verena Thaller. The idea of the design here is based on my experience with Tanzanian cloths, called 'Kanga'. They are always colorful, full of symbols and have a quote at the bottom. Frequently, the most important symbol is located in the centre. Depending on the daily situation, you choose the Kanga which fits most. With this in mind, the website is 'dresses' itself with a special CHIALA Kanga.
